The following is a newly introduced U.S. congressional resolution, "H. Res. 1400(IH) Condemning the People's Republic of China's Law on the Promotion of Ethnic Unity and Progress and the Chinese Community Party's Campaign of Forced Assimilation Against Ethnic and Religious Minorities". The resolution, among other issues, highlights China's policies of linguistic and cultural assimilation in Southern Mongolia, as well as the plight of political prisoners, including Mr. Hada, who has been forcibly disappeared since last February after more than 30 years of deprivation of liberty, including 15 years of imprisonment, four years of extrajudicial detention, and an definite period of house arrest:
